紫リボンと紫陽花に、これからの思いを込めて｜Our Hopes in the Purple Ribbon and Hydrangea

HSVCJでは、これから日本の患者会として、紫陽花を大切な象徴のひとつにしていきたいと考えています。

そう思った理由は、HS Awareness Weekが6月の第1週に行われること、HS啓発の象徴として紫リボンがあること、そして紫陽花に込められる花言葉や意味が、私たち患者会の思いと重なったからです。

紫陽花は、日本では6月の雨の季節に咲く花です。
青や紫、淡い色を重ねながら咲く姿は、一人ひとり異なるHSの経験や声が集まり、つながっていく様子とも重なります。

また、紫陽花には「家族」「団らん」「辛抱強さ」「つながり」などを感じさせる意味があります。
見えにくい痛みや不安を抱えながらも、ひとりで抱え込まず、声を寄せ合い、支え合っていく。
その思いを表す花として、HSVCJでは紫陽花を大切にしていきます。

紫リボンは、HSへの理解と啓発の象徴。
紫陽花は、日本の患者会としての寄り添いとつながりの象徴。

この2つを重ねながら、HSVCJはこれからも、患者さんの声をつなぎ、安心できる場所づくりを続けていきます。

雨の季節に咲く紫陽花のように、見えにくい痛みの中にも、あたたかなつながりが広がっていくことを願って。

At HSVCJ, we have decided to cherish the hydrangea as one of the meaningful symbols of our patient community in Japan.

There are several reasons behind this.

HS Awareness Week takes place in the first week of June.
The purple ribbon is a symbol of HS awareness.
And the meanings often associated with hydrangeas—such as family, togetherness, patience, and connection—deeply resonate with the values of our patient community.

In Japan, hydrangeas bloom during the rainy season in June.
Their soft layers of blue, purple, and gentle colors remind us of the many different experiences and voices of people living with HS coming together.

The purple ribbon represents awareness and understanding of HS.
The hydrangea represents compassion, connection, and support within a Japanese patient community.

By bringing these two symbols together, HSVCJ will continue to connect patient voices and create a place where people can feel reassured.

Like hydrangeas blooming in the rainy season, we hope that warm connections can continue to grow, even in the midst of invisible pain.
